First art of 2011!! ...not really. Made this a while back, actually. But. Okay. First submission of 2011~! ;D
Hazel Basil is my favorite OC to use as a model, haha. I love drawing different outfits on her and I repeatedly use her for different occasions. =w=;;
1st outfit: Hazel first came into exist in the group "5Aces" on TegakiE. ...I actually just wanted to join the group because it was popular at the time and ended up hurriedly making up a simple-minded, happy-go-lucky character who knew how to use tonfa. Barely any thought was put into her at the time. (See the outfit--a re-used top from an old PKMN OC I made and black sweatpants. And I was wearing black sweats at the time I drew her. xP) (Original: [link] )
2nd: 5Aces Masquerade Ball costume. ...I liked this dress. :0 Hazel's good at sewing and enjoys making her own clothes, so she made this pink dress from a teddy-bear patterned blanket. (She likes bears hurhurr.) Converse sneakers, old cheerleader outfit, big black bow (in the shape of a clover in the back--my favorite part of the dress, but you can't see it from the front :T), and the flowery mask. Anyway, it was around this masquerade event where I, for some reason or another, tried to make her more mysterious than cheery.... yeah... .__. (Original: [link] )
3rd: PLUSLE GIJINKA--which later on becomes a Plusle cosplay, haha. Made the outfit for her and joined the group "Lovely Pokemon" on TE. I-I ended up making Hazel turn out to be an idiot ("It's not a red cross! It's a pink X!" |||OTL), and she didn't last long in there. o____o; (Original: [link] )
4th: The "magpie" outfit. I was obsessed with magpies for a while, seriously. I can't remember why, but I just loved them, so I wanted to draw a magpie-ish outfit and Hazel became the model. Then a story followed it, in which there's this handful of magpie gijinka's, Hazel being one of them, and they're the main characters. She and the other magpies become sort of like antagonists in this particular story, and Hazel becomes one of those cheerfully demented characters. This outfit was modified a lot. 5th: Modified 5Aces outfit, in which slightly more thought was put into. Modified to be more "stylish" for Hazel's tastes lol, and used for the UBF Contest Group (#Pokemon-UBF). (Entry: [link] )
She's a PKMN cosplayer now (Here are her cosplay outfits [link] ). She has more Pokemon in storage (that I haven't drawn, but there's Skitty, Teddiursa, and some other "cute" pokemon) and she plans to cosplay as them, too.
6th: base. pfff.
There's actually one or two more outfits she has, but they weren't used very much. They both had the color pink on them somewhere (Hazel loves pink, if it wasn't obvious enough). Since these outfits/Hazel designs weren't used at all, they weren't very important, and were thus left out of Hazel's displayed wardrobe.
Hazel changed a lot. First, she had a "happy-optimistic-way-too-sweet" personality, and over the months (year), she gradually became conceited, too proud, and bossy. .__. I still love her, though ♥♥ ......as an outfit model, haha. I'm sorry, Hazel. o3o
